How Old Are CPAs?

According to Alan Salmon’s K2E Enterprises’ Survey, fully 53% of people engaged in public accounting are 55 years of age or older. This shouldn’t be surprising since the same trend is true of entrepreneurs generally in the public at large. According to CIBC (CIBC World Markets) the 35 to 54 year old age group represented the fastest growing segment of Canadian entrepreneurs, followed by people over the age of 55.
